TechSETS is partnering with well-known training providers, such as My SkillSource, to offer statewide discounts on technology training for the California K-12 community. TechSETS has designed the following training model to assist California schools in addressing their training needs:
1) determine which technology services need support (local needs assessment)
2) identify the various tasks and skills needed to adequately support the services
(Skills Matrix)
3) provide affordable options for obtaining effective training to acquire the necessary skills (training partners)
TechSETS' Training Model
In order to provide access to effective and affordable training, our first objective is to identify the technology services needed in California schools. By looking at what services are needed, we can then identify the tasks and skills necessary to support those services. Training can then be targeted to helping staff acquire the identified skills.
